The Event//
- Accelerate 2012 will be at the Black Barn Vineyards, Hawke's Bay, Monday 13th February 2012. Fly in Sunday night for a catch up with attendees, full day together Monday and catch the Winery Tour on Monday night. Head home Tuesday fired up for 2012.

Accommodation//
- Due to the high demand of accommodation in Hawkes Bay, the accommodation providers have requested a minimum stay of two nights. Check in Sunday 12th February and check out Tuesday 14th February 2012. If you wish to extend your stay please advise us.

This event is designed for CxO's, senior Entrepreneurs, Investors and Directors of companies that want to grow fast and operate globally. This year there are a number of companies who are just getting going in the USA. This event will create an opportunity to see if there are things we can do better together. This will be an interactive day with lots of good discussion, so if you're shy, sort that out before you come.

Our industry is maturing quickly. Large companies are struggling to execute and nimble New Zealand companies are starting to raise real money and disrupt large and exciting markets.
At the same time New Zealand is at the cross roads. We need our technology companies to continue to step up and lead to grow new jobs and income.
Along with Sam Morgan I'd like to invite you to Accelerate 2012. The event where the leaders of the New Zealand Technology scene get together to share experiences, develop their relationship and pass along wisdom to the new entrepreneurs. The last couple of years have attracted the leading entrepreneurs and angel investors in a relaxed environment for facilitated discussion.
Last year's event was a stunning day at a stunning venue in sunny Hawke's Bay that stimulated thinking and saw many new relationships form.
Last year resulted in the San Francisco Landing Pad. Many of us have taken a step up in the last 12 months especially in the USA market. Accelerate provides the ideal opportunity to reflect on what's working and get coordinated for 2012.
We expect this year to fill up quickly so please lock in your place and think carefully about who else should be attending so we can get them along.

Session 1: Xero deep dive. We're now 5 years into it and have learned a hell of a lot. We've also tried to do things differently at every opportunity. The first session will cover:
- Raising money privately, via an IPO and placements
- How we approach building a global team
- Approaches to marketing and PR
- Partnering and building channels
- How we think about competition and challenging incumbents
- Experiences in the Australia, UK and USA markets
- The mega-trend opportunities we're betting on
Session 2: Next up we'd like to hear from around 5 companies.
